'Deutzia Bouquet'

Deutzia is a shrub that blooms in early summer with such extravagance that the branches bend under the weight of it. The flowers are small and white and numerous and they come all at once, as if the plant has been saving everything for this. One flower is modest. Hundreds of them together become something else entirely — a cloud, a veil, a promise.

This pendant holds only deutzia. Nothing else was needed. The bouquet is complete in the way that a single-ingredient thing is sometimes the most complete thing of all — when you choose not to complicate it, the subject becomes itself entirely.
