'Paris in the Morning'

The double pendant is not decorative excess. It is a structure that means something: two windows onto the same garden, the large and the small in conversation, the way that some moments contain a moment inside them. The main oval holds violets and marigolds and roses and the wildflowers that do not have formal names but have always been there. Above it, a small secondary piece, a miniature of the same world.

Paris in the morning is a specific light. It is the light before the day has opinions about itself — before the cafes fill, before the arguments about what kind of city this should be. It is violet and gold and quiet in a way that cities almost never manage to be quiet.
