'She Counted Every Floret'

Hydrangea breaks apart into florets so small they seem impossibly plural — each one complete, each one a pale argument for lavender, or mauve, or the color between them that doesn’t have a name.

This Floraglyph is made of those florets, dozens of them, cascading down a dark ground that makes every pale petal glow. Someone counted them once. It took a while. They were worth counting.
