Floraglyph
The field doesn’t organize itself for your convenience. It gives verbena and forget-me-nots in the same breath — fire and memory, red and blue, the passionate and the devoted arriving together without apology. Solidago rises behind everything, the yellow that keeps the whole composition from coming undone. The moss comes from beneath. The grapevine comes from above.
This Floraglyph is an inscription of a single summer afternoon — the hour before the light changed, when everything was still exactly where it had decided to be. The red of the verbena against the blue of the forget-me-nots is not a contrast. It is a conversation that has been going on for centuries.
The field gave all of this. It didn’t ask permission.
This Floraglyph is for the woman who has learned to receive what the garden offers instead of arranging it into something safer.
