'Before She Falls'

Cherry blossoms exist for approximately one week. They arrive in a rush, fill every branch, and then fall — all at once, as if they agreed on a date. The Japanese call this *mono no aware*: the beauty of things that don’t last, made more beautiful by the fact of their ending.

This piece is built in depth — not poured in a single session but constructed the way a sculptor builds, layer by layer, each one shaped and sanded before the next arrives. The painted pollen is buried inside, visible through layers of clear resin like something seen through water. The bubble management alone across that depth is a day’s work: every tiny petal cup, every angle between blossoms, every gap where air wants to live.

She is held here. Before she falls.

This pendant is for the woman who understands that the most beautiful things are the ones that weren’t supposed to stay.
