Pendant

'Meadow at Midnight'

Pennycress is a meadow plant — it seeds itself everywhere, runs through fallow fields, comes back every year in the places you forgot about it. It is not glamorous, and it is not trying to be. It is simply persistent, which is its own form of magnificence.

Against a night-sky navy ground, pennycress and hydrangea hold together in the large brass oval like a meadow scene observed once at midnight and half-remembered. The grass runs through it. This pendant is a place as much as it is an object.

This pendant is for the woman who knows that the meadow is most itself at the hours when no one calls it by name.
