Pendant
Giant Mexican marigolds — cempasúchil — in yellow and orange, the flowers of the ofrenda and the altar, carried in armloads to make the path. Both colors at once, arranged in a baroque scrollwork frame with wings at the top, the way they appear when they are most themselves: offered.
Every year the marigolds are cut and a path is made. This piece holds that offering permanently.
This pendant is for the woman who lives in rooms that feel like something — and who knows that the most sacred things are the most beautiful ones.
