'The Hemlock Window V'

The fifth and final window in the series. By now the hemlock has said everything it has to say, and the circle has held it perfectly, and what remains is the view: the lacy leaf, the umbel, the stem, the whole argument for paying attention to the dangerous beautiful thing.

Five windows, five specimens from the same borderland. The Hemlock Window V completes the series, which means it also stands alone. The circle is the oldest symbol of completion. What’s inside it is still reaching for the edge.
