A Period She Never Returned To

The earliest work. Resin poured into molds, a stained-glass aesthetic — colour held in suspension, light moving through botanical matter like a cathedral window the size of a thumbnail. This was the beginning.

She hasn't returned to this method. It belongs to the period of first discovery, when the material was still teaching her what it wanted to be. These pieces carry that energy — the charge of the first attempt, the particular brightness of not yet knowing what couldn't be done.

Every artist has a first language. Sunlight was hers — and like a first language, it lives in the body even when it's no longer spoken.

Light through resin. Flowers suspended in amber. The moment before everything was refined. These are archive pieces — singular documents of a beginning.
