'The Green Fairy'

Long before people blamed absinthe for visions, the plants knew the truth. The visions were already there. Wormwood simply loosened the latch.

On moonlit evenings, when the world grew quiet enough to hear itself think, the Green Fairy would wander the edges of forgotten gardens collecting secrets. She gathered them carefully in the folds of her emerald skirts: wishes abandoned too soon, ideas not yet brave enough to be spoken aloud, and tiny sparks of wonder misplaced by practical people.

But the Fairy had one rule: "Never wander so far into enchantment that you forget the way home." So she traveled with companions - Copper, drawn from the deep bones of the earth, kept her tethered to the living world. Artemisia opened the door. Solidago lit the path. Tiny spirea blossoms marked the breadcrumbs back. Together they formed an agreement: Dream boldly. Wander freely. But return with something worth bringing back.

This piece is not a portal to escape reality. It is a reminder that imagination works best when it travels hand-in-hand with gravity. A little enchantment. A little earth. Just enough magic to hear the whispers. And just enough copper to remember your own name.
