Celosia understands this better than most. After more than a decade spent watching her escape the narrow definitions imposed upon her, I have come to believe that celosia's greatest gift is not beauty. It is permission. Permission to become. Permission to expand. Permission to take up the shape that is uniquely yours.

In cultivation, we often celebrate uniformity. Straight rows. Matching blooms. Predictable outcomes.

Yet left to her own devices, celosia chooses something else entirely.
